The Russian History Seminar will hold its next meeting of the 2014-2015 academic year on Friday, November 7, 5:00pm-6:15pm in ICC 662 on the Georgetown University campus. Eric Lohr (Susan Carmel Lehrman Chair of Russian History and Culture at American University) will present his paper co-authored with Uğur Ümit Üngör, “Economic Nationalism, Confiscation, and Genocide: A Comparison of the Ottoman and Russian Empires during World War I.” It is currently under consideration at the Journal of Modern European History. Mustafa Aksakal (Nesuhi Ertegun Chair of Modern Turkish Studies at Georgetown University) will be present for this discussion.
